A SPDT Center-Off Rocker Switch is a type of switch that combines single-pole double-throw (SPDT) functionality with a rocker-style actuator and a center-off position. This switch is widely used in electrical and electronic applications for directional control, dual-mode selection, or circuit switching where an "off" or neutral state is required between two operating states.

�� Basic Structure and Operation �� SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw)

• Has one common terminal (pole) and two output terminals (throws).

• Allows current to flow from the common terminal to either of the two outputs.

⛔ Center-Off Position

• The rocker has three stable positions:

  1. Position 1 (On-1) – Common terminal connected to Throw A.

  2. Center (Off) – No connection; the circuit is open.

  3. Position 2 (On-2) – Common terminal connected to Throw B.

This center-off position electrically disconnects the switch from both throws, effectively turning the circuit off in that middle position.

• The actuator is a rocker: pressing one side rocks the switch to one position, and pressing the other side rocks it the other way.

• Center position leaves the rocker level (neutral).
